Ultrapassados estes defeitos, o festival vale bem a pena destes pequenos sacrifícios! Mais sobre o dia 1 no próximo post.

Today was the first day of the OFFF Oeiras'09 festival. For those of you who don't know, this is a festival that has more followers each year in the digital creative areas... But not only! Programmers and friends also "drink" from the creative environment that is breathable in this place during this 3 days. This year the festival is taking place in Fundição de Oeiras, and is part of the festivities for the 250 years of Oeiras' county. The place chosen is nice and is slighty better than last year's, but there are some things I can't help mentioning: The heat!!!! The main room of the event is a closed pavilion with no air circulation. We feel like we're inside a greenhouse from which we only feel like fleeing! Luckly, the presentations are very good, so we all just stay there fanning with whatever we get hands on. The acoustics is horrible, we hardly listen to what the people are saying at the stage, specially when the audience is still settling and there is noise in the room... The chairs are unconfortable, but I have to agree that for being smaller than last year's they give more available sitting places... The bathrooms are plastic containers like those in summer music festivals. Everybody knows them, I'm not going to get into details. They're bad. Period. The exit is a corridor not big enough for everybody to get out at the same time... Getting out in time of catching the train can be an adventure. Anyway... Getting past this defects, the festival is well worth the small sacrifices! More on day 1 on the next post.

Outra coisa que falta... Caixotes de lixo! Não vi um único! Só alguns de separação do lixo... Mas para lixo normal, nada. Grande falha!
Another thing that's missing... Garbage cans! I haven't seen one! Just a few to do garbage separation... But nothing for normal garbage. Big flaw!
