OFFF Oeiras'09 - Dia 3 (Conclusões)
O 3º dia do OFFF foi muito curto para mim. Cheguei cerca das 15:30 para sair desiludida cerca das 19:30. Pelo meio vi uma conferência da qual não percebi nada (mau som), uma substituição dum dos oradores por uma turma dum workshop a mostrar as suas "pequenas maravilhas" feitas no workshop, um painel de Nerds (no verdadeiro sentido da palavra), e o início da apresentação de uns profissionais de cinema foi o que bastou para eu me vir embora. O cansaço já era muito, e a vontade de ir para casa e usufruir do resto do fim de semana com os meus homens falou mais alto.
The third day of OFFF was very short to me. I arrived at around 15:30 to leave, dissapointed, at around 19:30. In between I saw a conference from which I didnt understand a word (bad sound), a replacement from one of the guys speaking for a workshop class showing their workshopped "small wonders", a Nerdference (in the truth sense of the word), and the beginning of a presentation from some guys from the cinema was enough for me to go home. I was tired, and the will to go home and spend the rest of the weekend with my guys spoke louder.
O balanço do festival foi, a meu ver, médio. O tema do festival, Fail Gracefully, nem foi tocado pela maior parte dos oradores. Muitos não se conseguiam ouvir, pois para além da acústica da sala ser má, era preciso saber falar para o público! Fora o segundo dia que, a meu ver, foi bom, os outros ficaram um pouco aquém das expectativas. No entanto, é sempre bom haverem eventos destes, nem que seja para se ir vendo o que se está a fazer por esse mundo fora. E, nesse aspecto, o OFFF atingiu os objectivos! Ficamos à espera dos próximos.
The festival was, in my point of view, medium. The theme, Fail Gracefully, was not even touched for the most of the people talking. Many couldn't even be heard. Apart from the room's accoustics being bad, it was needed that they could talk to the audience! Other than the second day that, in my point of view, was good, the others were somehow off my expectations. On the other hand, it's always good to have events like this, even if it's just to know what's being done in the world. And, in that aspect, the festival reached its goals! We'll wait for the next ones.
